Consumer apps
Calm, well-made apps for everyday people, launched on one store first and taken further as they find their audience.
What we do
SwartBerg Studio designs, develops and owns its software products, and gives each one the time it needs to prove itself.
Our products
Different audiences, one platform, and the same standard of engineering throughout.
Calm, well-made apps for everyday people, launched on one store first and taken further as they find their audience.
Libraries and frameworks for .NET developers, including an AI framework for training and running models in C#. Most are used inside our own products first.
Open-source software for teams and companies, built on the Microsoft cloud services many organisations already run, and open for anyone to inspect and host.
Further products are in development and will be introduced once they are ready to be shared.
How a product is made
Every product moves through the same four stages, and has to earn its way from one to the next. Time and attention go to what has proven itself.
An idea is tried small and fast: a prototype, a handful of users, an honest look at whether anyone needs it.
Ideas that hold up get a real first release, built properly and measured against how people actually use it.
Products that earn their place get more: new platforms, new features, and the support to keep them working.
Established products are maintained for the long term, with updates, support and steady improvement.
How we work
The principles behind how decisions are made, and how money and time are spent.
The company is funded by its founder and has no outside shareholders. It grows at the pace its products earn.
Products are developed to be owned and improved for years, not to be launched and abandoned.
Automated tests, benchmarks and real usage decide what works and what gets more investment.
Infrastructure is chosen to stay inexpensive until a product's usage justifies more, so experiments stay affordable.
Why only C#
C# and .NET run some of the largest systems in banking, government, healthcare and retail, and the platform rewards depth: performance, tooling, security and long-term support from Microsoft.
Building every product on one platform means our patterns are proven, our libraries are our own, and each new product starts ahead instead of from scratch. With Blazor, even the user interface is C#.
It is also how we build the team. One stack across the whole company means a graduate who knows C# can work on any product we own, and grow to expert level in one direction rather than spreading across five. People can move between products freely, and every product benefits from the same expertise.

Each product's entry under Our products says where it is available, with a link to its store page or package.
Our open-source libraries are free to use under their published licences. The licence for each one is in its repository.
Every app, library and platform we make runs on .NET, from the database to the browser. One stack keeps our engineering consistent and lets the team grow deep expertise in it, from graduate to expert. Our blog explains the reasoning.
